Is there any way to opt out?

Every time we go to our e-mail there's advertisement's on the header. I would like to opt out but I think I know the answer. They supply the funds for all these site's so we don't have to pay." No such thing as a free lunch." OH well.:(

??. Makes little sense to me to use WEB based email access. So many good client email programs available..... and all you get is pure email...no ads.

Been some time since I used it, but as I recall Thunderbird is a full featured e-mail client, not a plug-in extension to Mozilla for web based e-mail. It can access all the standard types of service for e-mail -- IMAP, POP, etc.

Yahoo is now opening a 2nd page on me. I just close it before it fully opens. they also put a banner ad on their Web mail (I use web mail) But they do filter out MOST of the spam ads.

    G-mail filters them too.

Plus if there is a single source IE: ***@political.party.net (Note my fair and balanced complaint here)... You can FILTER it straight to trash .
  • You could buy an email client and not have to worry bout it. They aren't that much and you no longer have to worry about your messages getting lost "in the cloud" as an added bonus.
  • Sounds like Yahoo. You're right, it's how they pay the bills. You could switch to Gmail where they just collect your information to pay the bills.

  • Which email provider are you referring? GMail, etc?
