Jack TV Antenna Vs Satellite
for those that have used both: which is better? the jack tv antennea would be a lot easier to use compared to the satellite dish, so if it gets enough channels then i won't even bother with the dish.

- Thanks. However, I've used Directv in the past and currently have Dish Network as my cable provider. I should have added that, I've read that the Jack TV is a lot better than the Winegard. And some people are getting 80+ channes with the Jack antennea. I don't believe everything I read on the internet, so I was wondering if there is any truth about the Jack TV getting as many channels as satellite.
- The crank up antenna on my trailer has never been raised to watch TV. We rely on DTV and am totally pleased with our setup. packages are what you want to pay for. We watch very few movies any more instead rely on the two DVR's to record what we want to watch and avoid commercials when we watch them
- The Jack and the Winegard Sensar will pick up OTA stations located in range of your location. There is no charge for watching OTA television stations.
When using a satellite dish you can get all of the 'cable' channels you are willing to pay for. - With any antenna, you're at the mercy of the local transmitters. You could get 1 channel or 20, depending on where you are. I've been fairly lucky with antenna usage. This is my first location where I've had to resort to watching DVDs frequently.
With satellite, all you need is a clear view of the southern sky. Available channels depend on the package you pay for.
