Jitterbug Phones

Is anybody using a Jitterbug phone? Do you like it? What carrier provides the service for them? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.
  • If you want to be able to text and have unlimited minutes, Straight Talk (Wal-Mart) is a better deal unless the medical services are important. Check the reviews at Amazon.

I'm with you, Kountryguy. I have no need or interest in texting or any other high tech features of a so called "smart phone". Just use a cell phone for making and receiving phone calls. I too have considered a Jitterbug phone, but never pursued it and don't know much about the service and coverage area.
  • I just programmed in phone numbers on a jitterbug phone for an elderly lady who just lost her husband and just got out of the hospital. Home care nursing insisted she get one.

I found the phone real easy to use. Nice big numbers. And at the bottom of the screen it asks what you want to do and walks you thru what you need to do. KISS theory at it's best! Pretty slick little phone.

She likes it a lot and at 92 it is her first cell phone! She has no problems using it. :C

    Here is their coverage map.

    ?
What's to be careful of? :h
It's just an additional feature but certainly not a necessity to make or receive a phone call.
  • Thank you, rockhillmanor.
Informative replies such as yours are helpful.

Some other replies, well, aren't worth the time it takes to read them. :R
