Yuck! A CELERON processor!
That is the reason as to why it is so cheap.
Celeron is a stripped down processor with less built in Cache memory and is gutless.
You do realize we are talking about A NEW LAPTOP with a 500gb hd usb 3.0 HDMI and 4GB of ram for $130 or $107 don't you?
For surfing the net which is exactly what Mex needs this for (I think) this would be purrrfeect.
It depends on what version Celeron processor you're running. The one referenced is fairly slow. Not much faster than older dual-core Atoms.
I'm running a recent Celeron dual-core x64 in one of my netbooks, and it CPUBenchmarks as fast as mobile Intel Core i3. While requiring less power for more battery life. Faster than quad-core Atom based tablets/netbooks. Has both WIN 7 x64 and WIN 8.1 x64 dual-boot with 8G Ram. For web, email, word processing, and basic graphics editing, the mobile Celeron is fine.
My primary notebook is an Ultrabook convertible Core i5, mainly because it has higher end video and graphics editing capabilities. But still buying another thinner Celeron x64 based touchscreen netbook as a travel alternative.
