It's been a long while but a Seagate I bought came with a basic 'ghosting' tool.
when I swap hard drives, it's just a fresh install for me.
Since I'm almost always Linux based, the fresh install and copy old to new is extremely painless.
Windows does a ton of excess %$#@@ when an app installs which is why a complete reinstall of everything is usually the safest.
