You made this "our business" and asked for comments by posting this "complaint"...which only gets more absurd the more one looks at it:
Salesman: The Scangauge will be here in four hours.
You:...:M ...I guess I'll have to buy it from Amazon!!!!!
Salesman:...:E........Um...O.K.!?!
You flounce off, leaving Salesman thinking to himself:
"Wow- who knew Amazon could get it to this guy in UNDER FOUR HOURS! We sure can't compete with that!"
