I just got a 2013 Nexus 7 the other day and really like it. It has an amazing screen with 1920x1200 resolution, twice the RAM of the original, faster processor and faster gpu. I gave my original Nexus 7 to my daughter.
Is ours still working, my first one lasted 4 days and died now the replacement after 1 1/2 days just continually reboots itself. I'm going back to Best Buy tomorrow and dump this thing :M.

I haven't had any problems with mine. We have 2 of the original models in our house that have been problem free as well. Sorry to hear you're having issues.
It was working great at first and I really like it but then it started rebooting every once in a while now that's all it does. Even if I get it booted up into safe mode it well still reboot itself.
