laptop sleeping question
I want to update my GPS maps. It usually takes such a long period of time I close the lid & it goes to sleep. Does this stop or just slow down the updating process? I really don't completely understa...

mine is set to BALANCED and i can see where display and sleep times are set, but nowhere do i find hibernate settings. it currently seems to drift into hibernate from sleep?//
