I do not know the range of the Wireless Game Adapter i slightly modified (No internal mod) but it does very well in most campgrounds..
I have heard of open field distances in the miles by folks who did some serious antenna work. And there are a few tricks I can do with Wireless Game Adapters in some cases.. (I only have the one though)
One option.. WGA near the park office, mount it in a weatherproof box.. CAT-5 through the woods,, Router (Another Weatherproof box) at that end. More or less how I am sending this to you
(WGA atop flagpole outside of RV, cat-5 to Belkin router INSIDE, to Laptop.)
This does require some knowledge of Wi-Fi to set up.
Suggestion: At the office mount an outside antenna.
At the Client site, Try mounting an adapter, I really like the Wireless Game Adaper (Too bad they do not make it any more) at the focal point of a Sat Dish (C-Band is better if you have one but those are a tad... Large, get the largest one you can scarf up) and point it at the outside antenna.. Monitor the WGA's status page (192.168.1.250 by default on the Linksys unit) and adjsut for peak signal.... Im seeing 30% limiting and I'm well over a block from the router INSIDE the park office.
