Latest in Hot Spot devices?
I see we have stickies for cellphones, but not for Hot Spot modems. What is the latest? I am planning to go full time for several months this year and need modem without annual plan. In the past...

My neighbor is phone freak and few years ago, when we had long ride together he was using his android for
-GPS
-streaming youtube
-phone conversation
-taking video
All at the same time, what required car power hookup as android battery was dropping down in minutes.
Fact is that after few minutes of all those functions - neighbor had to stick the android under AC vent as it was too hot to hold in hand.
But he is paying like $70 a month and still has pretty limited data on tethering.
My cell cost me $7 a month and I am happy with the plan.
If I can get hotspot for full year for $100, I can deal with occasional lack of service when I camp in the woods.
Over the years I learn how to use McDonald and Starbucks Hotspots as well.
