In the last two+ million years, the earth has alternated warm spells (warmer than it is now), and cold spells (colder - as in glaciers) a number of times. The ocean levels have risen after the cold spells about 1,000 feet higher during the warm spells, and retreated back to 1,000 feet lower when the glaciers capture a lot of water. This has been known to geologists for decades. No one knows for sure why the earth goes through these warming and cooling cycles. It is known for certain that this has been happening since long before there were humans on Earth, and there is no reason to believe it won't continue when humans disappear from the Earth. It is supreme hubris to believe that global warming is caused by and can be controlled by human activity.
A ton of disinformation here- there is no ban on anything, rather there is an energy efficiency standard being imposed. If a bulb meets the standard, it is fine. Many incandescent halogen bulbs do meet that standard.
Like it or not, global warming is real and it's here, and for our children's sake, we must cut carbon emissions.
