I am not going to read four more pages of this misinformation. If anyone wants the name of a company that makes incandescent lamps, PM me. They have a permit to continue after the deadline is reached. They only produce heavy duty bulbs and they are more expensive than GE, Sylvania, etc.
I will not use CFLs..... I have started experimenting with LED lamps and so far only one is a disappointment. Some of the LED bulbs have a two or three second delay but I can live with that. So far there are only two lamps that I have not found replacements for, a 100watt decorator bulb about 4 inches in diameter and the 50 watt halogen spot lights over our sofa. The equivalent LED is too soft and really is a flood. I haven't looked but at one so far.
