If you aren't ware of the CFL's problems then a LED or Halogen might be your answer. I have read on another site that there CFl's in different cases went pop-sputter-bang-, started to smoke, and one started on fire. So they are not as safe as they have been let-on to be. These guy chucked there CFL's cause they didn't want to rebuild there homes. And again we are lead down the favorite path by our government, of lets just make it so, for our followers and stick it to them.
