I was in Home Depot today so I checked their pricing. They now have two different 60W equiv. soft white Cree bulbs. One (same one as previously linked by Gene&Ginny) uses 9.5W and is 12.97 both on web site and in store. I did previously buy this same bulb for 9.97 just a few weeks ago. The other Cree 60W equiv. they now have uses 13.5W and it is 9.97 both in store and on web site. Cree 40W bulbs were 7.97. All of these bulbs are dimmable. There is also a new Phillips 60W bright white bulb that is not dimmable for 9.97.
I am in both Home Depot and Lowes several times a week. In my case they are very close to each other and I like them both for different things. I can't recall the exact prices for bulbs at Lowes but when I last compared they were higher. I did notice today that sales of the bulbs at HD seem to have picked up considerably.
