Some folks may not be aware that the standard Winegard "batwing" OTA power supply wall plate has 2 coaxial output feeds -- TV1 & TV2.
We only have 1 Jensen TV (small Class C), so we run the 1st coax feed directly to our TV and run the 2nd feed into the OTA Antenna port on our Dish 211K receiver. That receiver runs into our TV with a separate HDMI cable, so we get our HD feeds.
If we can't get a satellite signal, we can always get the OTA tuner feed. When we can get a signal, we can also use the 211K to record both an OTA channel and a satellite channel -- as well as watching a second OTA channel or a previous recording!
