I have a Direct TV Slimline dish on a tripod. I use it with a HR25 SWM receiver. I've always been able to get a good signal fairly quickly with a satellite finder app on my phone. While camping a couple of weeks ago, my dish got blown over in a heck of storm. Now I can't get a signal to lock in. I have messed with the skew and elevation but have them set where direct tv told me they should be. I can get 80's on satellite 101 transponders 23 and one in the higher 20's. I can get 50's on some of the other transponders in the bottom row on the 25-32 numbers but I can't get anything on transponders 1 through 21. I've read that the LNB is either good or bad. I think since I have some transponders, that might not be the problem. Any suggestions?

It doesn't take much of a bend in the dish to throw everything off. How hard did it fall? Did the LNB arm get bent?Bruce

Ditto on the bent dish. Ours blew over and bent - although it wasn't obvious to me that it was bent.I called DirecTV, and they sent out a guy in a truck. He replaced the dish, replaced the LNB, replaced all the cabling, and re-aimed the dish. It took him a couple of hours to get to us, and he spent about half an hour fixing everything up. All at no charge!EDIT: I forgot to say that this was while staying in a campground, not at our fixed home site.

Every time it rains I lose the Direct TV signal and mine is fixed on the end of my home. Only time I lost it before while living on the side of a mountain in NC was during a heavy snow fall.

I thnnk that you were really lucky. Direct does not want to provide service to people that travel around a lot. They make it difficult.

You may or may not even see the bend unless you can take the reflector off and lay it over a known good one.

The dish will bend but not as easy as the square base bracket. Look very carefully at it.
I fought low numbers on the other sats until I figured it out.

X2 on this. I only lose my signal in a severe rainstorm which rarely ever happens. When I do lose it it is only momentary and it's back again.

I wonder if you're picking up the 119 satellite instead of the 101 satellite.
Directv, at one time, and may still be, used transponders 22 through 32 on the 119. The rest of the transponders on 119 are used by Dish.
Try pointing the dish a few degrees east.
