I think it also depends whether you're using MagicJack as a traditional landline, at a fixed address, or as a portable device. As I recall with MagicJack, you need to set a street address for 911 service? So if traveling, you must constantly re-set the 911 location for it to work anyway.
I'm not sure how MagicJack is going to handle this as 911 fees vary by jurisdiction? Or are they restricting 911 access to just one address?
It took me under a minute to find my direct phone no. to my County's Emergency Communications Center, so not that difficult to locate or program a contact. And with no 911 fees. Can always use my mobile 911 if needed.
