Map updates for the Garmin dezl 760

Question

I was updating three of my GPS' last night. It's been a while since I've done it and this is the fist time I've seen Garmin's Express site. It's an improvement.

Several things. One of them updated just fine. The other two I had to try several different USB cords and different USB ports on the laptop, but I finally got all of them to connect.

On the dezl 760 for the MH, it told me there were several software updates which I installed. However, it wouldn't tell me if my maps were up to date so I called Garmin this morning. The tech person told me they had problems with the latest map load and had pulled it. It sounded like it was problems with routing the MHs for height and weight restricted areas. At this time she didn't know when they would be posting new maps for the 760.

Thanks for the information. I recently updated my RV760. The only issue was the limited memory in the unit.

I tried updating Garmin maps a few weeks ago - not a Dezi 760 and the map install kept crashing using Garmin Express. I did some online checking and found out that Garmin Express has problems and there were recommendations to use Garmin map updater instead. I tried that and the map downloaded and installed on the first try.

Bad news if Garmin has even temporarily pulled RV map updates. They need to see this as a priority for their customers or their RV GPS will be useless. They should have told you when the new map will be available and not said they don't know!
