Maps Alternative
A am very disappointing with Maps on 8.1 and am looking for an alternative. All I need is plain old Navigation without any social media add-ons. Any thoughts on a better navigation app?

I'm looking for a good off line map. I often travel in remote areas without internet. Streets & Trips works well but is no longer updated. Much easier to use than Google Maps even with internet. Delorame isn't nearly as nice.
GPS units work sort of, but most I've tried don't have the detail available on a full screen laptop.
Take a look at Co-Pilot for Android/I-phone or Sygic.
We have used Sygic for four years on 2 tablets and 2 phones for one initial fee. I believe the maps are provided by Tom-Tom. Updates frequently including the software.
These use no broadband but store the maps on your device. I store 4 states and add or delete other State maps as needed.
