- PamelajoExplorerI hope you are right but I don't think the transition has taken place yet.
The first email said:
“We are announcing the acquisition by Verizon of the Millenicom customers who use their service. There should be no interruption with your Internet connection, they will be in contact with you regarding plan options.
Please accept our most sincere appreciation for the opportunity to be your Internet provider.”
The second email said:
"This is to correct an earlier email that was sent to you regarding your service. Verizon Wireless, the carrier providing your wireless service, may be contacting you about options for your ongoing service. Going forward your relationship will be directly with Verizon Wireless. Millenicom will no longer have any role concerning your account and Millenicom does not now or will have any relationship with Verizon Wireless. Thank you and we apologize for any inconvenience this notice may cause."
What do you think they are "correcting" in that second email? I'm not trying to be a smart--- with that question. I don't see what they are "correcting" if not the part where they said Verizon would contact us or the part where they said there would be no interruption in service.
Even Technomadia is saying we should "set a deadline for a decision." A decision about what? If they thought it was going to be an uninterrupted transition why would we need to make a decision? Again, not trying to be obnoxious, just confused. - Bill_SatelliteExplorer III am not sure why you are acting the way you are MrWizard. People have legitimate concerns and you seem to dismiss them all. Seamless would mean that when the Millenicom service terminates the Verizon service would somehow magically begin. Does Verizon have the interest or ability to do this? Did Millenicom transfer CC info (unlikely)? Was this a hostile take over (likely)? Since Verizon does not offer anything similar, i.e. month to month non-contract and 20GB for $90, will they continue to allow Millenicom users to remain on this plan? If the Millenicom customer does nothing will there service end when there 30 day service expires? Will they be able to reactivate the same hardware or will Verizon require new/different hotspot equipment?
Just because nothing has happened yet does not mean that Millenicom customers should not be at least a little bit interactive. - MrWizardModeratorThey retracted nothing..
Is your hotspot service still working
Then it was seamless
Until you get a new bill
Or a printed statement about service changes..
Claiming every thing is going to go up, or stop
Is simply wild speculation
You people are like trying to herd a bunch of cats... :S - PamelajoExplorerSo, it sounds like the second email is nullifying the first statement released which promised a seamless transition and also said that Verizon "will" contact you. Now they are saying Verizon "may" contact you and retracted the promise of a seamless transition. ugh.
- LearjetExplorerOk, I called Verizon again, got elevated to the next level and she took detailed information, my: SIM, ESN etc and my Cell # for call back. It has been forwared up the chain for a resolution.
I told her that many on our forum wanted this information ASAP and they need to put out the information, or the calls will continue to come in.
I will let yall know if I here anything back. IF I don't here from verizon soon, I will be using my ATT Iphones going forward with the 30g plan. This would be cheaper anyway. - wcbassExplorer

What the heck?
That's the same email we received, and we never got an "earlier" one. We called Verizon, and they didn't have a clue. - LearjetExplorerI never got the first email, everyone talked about here, but I did get this one:

I am curious how the people that have AT&T or Verizon have a hotspot with your telephone. I just got a smart phone from Consumer Cellular but the screen is way to small for me to use for Internet use.
Install pda.net on your phone. Then you can use your phone as a hotspot.
