mini cd dropped out of tray and fell inside Gateway desktop

Question

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can retrieve this mini cd? My Gateway model # is SX2110G. I guess the tower is called a mini tower. The tray sits on its side rather than coming straight out! I don't know how to take the case off if that needs to be done. Thanks for any help.

Yes, you will have to open the case which should be fairly easy. You want to open the left side panel. Here are the instructions.Moved from Forum Technical Support

Thanks so much 1492. I needed to take the right panel off and it was easy to find. Plenty of empty space in mine!
