Wish I had looked at the forum first. There is no reason to send a PM if you are posting the questions here. Here was my response to your PM.
My initial thought would be that it is something other than the antenna. Do you have only a Hopper or a joey as well. There is a Solo Node "splitter" between the antenna and the receiver. Is that inside or outside? Have you looked at those connections? If the Solo Node is outside you need to disconnect each coax connection, put in some di-electric grease and re-connect.
If you stow the antenna and put it back up again does the problem go away and if so for how long.
