I know this is an old thread, but I can't be the only freak out there who is curious. I stumbled upon it after seeing someone at a state park in MA (no hookups) running a projector. I didn't stop and ask him, which I am regretting now, but I was determined to figure it out. In doing so, I found this projector which, outside of the cost, is the perfect solution. Someone on Amazon even did a video of it explaining how to wire it directly to a 12 volt deep cycle and run it for night after night without running out of battery. 25 watts, which is just over 2 amps. YES!
We have a 1yo boy, but as he grows, as well as when we have more children, this would be a great treat to do once in a while on trips, for the kids to have movie night.

I'll probably watch for one on ebay and/or Craigslist until one comes along that I can't refuse.
I know this is a old thread.. But I wanted to add that the Aaxa P300 you linked looks nice.. Especially if your shopping in the 12v TV market and your TV mounting space is limited..
I'm wondering if this Aaxa P300 caught on, as a good alternative to a 12v TV.
Straight up answer, NO, those little projectors simply do not have enough lumens output to replace a backlit LCD TV unless you are planning to live in a totally blacked out cave.
If I remember correctly that Aaxa is only rated 400 lumens, that is pretty much not enough output to get a decent pix unless the room is pretty dark. It takes a lot of light to project a decent picture in daylight levels..
I maintain some projectors for an organization that use around 350W bulbs and has a lumens rating of about 4,000.. Screen size of 7' and even those washout a bit when the sun is shining through the windows.
If you want TV in your RV then buy and use a TV, you will be happier with the overall results.. Projecting video is extremely wasteful in energy, it takes much less energy to BACKLIGHT a screen..
I have a 50" LED backlight TV which only uses 140W and is completely viewable in broad daylight..
Contrast that to a projector set to the same size and it will take a projector with at least 3000 lumens and it WILL washout in broad daylight.. So far most LED projectors that I have looked at that would come close to a backlight TV are using about 200W LED and have a lumens output of about 2,000-3,000..
For what it is worth, you don't NEED a "12V" TV, you can use a INVERTER, after all you are not going to save a lot in battery capacity used by trying to skip the inverter..
