I'm not terminally stupid, but it's a good thing that I don't have access to high voltage electricity, toxic chemicals, or dangerous machinery. I followed the directions by Gdetrailer and by running Fixit twice, the problem was solved. Unfortunately, a few days later I got a message that 14 updates were ready and I clicked on it. I figured that I could just run Fixit again and all would be fine. Nope. I ran Fixit three time and each time it said it found no problems. When I clicked on more help, I found that Fixit is a beta program that Microsoft no longer supports. I guess I will try a computer repair shop tomorrow.
