Need a program to look for duplicate folders and files

Wow. My moldy old memory worked for a change.

Do a Google search for "dups.exe download"

I'm in the same boat but don't you hate clicking the Delete button, you know, just in case it's wrong.

CCleaner will find dupes, but I don't know how filtered you can get. It's free for the basic version.

Great question! One of the reasons I love this forum - so I can read stuff like this and get solutions for my own similar issues! ;)

After years of replacing and updating computers and hard drives, I know I have a metric crud-ton of duplicate files. Various backups on portable drives and copies of data saved to multiple places in case I lose a hard drive....
Years of this and I have no idea how much surplus junk I have stashed away. I have lost track of it all.

Thanks for asking this so we can all benefit.

AVG PC Tuneup might do what you want. I think you can try before you buy.

Tough question... Lots of old hits on this in Google but not much recently. Seems there's only one commercial program thats still being produced for Windows.

Want to see if anyone else has suggestions.
