Need Opinions for getting internet provider / hotspot

Depending on how remote you camp, most people opt for Verizon for cell and internet because of their outstanding coverage. With VZW you can opt for either a mifi card or simply use your smart phone hot spot.
Mifi requires a seperate phone number and associated costs. Phone hot spot does not.
