Need phone advice for aging parent

We are FT. My Mom has hearing aids, but can’t hear me on our iphone. I want to stay in touch, but need help finding options. I checked in to the thing they advertise where you can read what someone is saying, but it says you need an internet connection for it to work. Mom has no Knowledge of computers... I will try to find someone with a land line to see if she can hear me when I use it. Any other ideas? Thanks!

My hearing aids can be hooked to the phone with Bluetooth.

Yep. Go to Costco for the best deals on this type of device, as well as all their other hearing aid equipment.
  • My buddy just got hearing aids. They are connected to his iPhone via BlueTooth so me can hear phone conversations very clearly.
  • Caption call is what your looking for. My sister uses one because she is nearly deaf. There is a lag time that makes things hard at time.
What brand hearing aids does she have? Phonak among others have a device that pairs to a cell phone via bluetooth so she can hear in stereo the conversation. You might look into one of them to match to her hearing aids, then get a cheap cell phone. In fact Im listening to television as I type this on the compilot.
  • If she has hearing aids that can use an add-on device then she can use her hearing aids to hear the call.

One option is Oticon hearing aids with a device called a Streamer. It can actually connect to a cell phone via Bluetooth. No real tech knowledge required.
