Dish help line told me to point the handle North as that is the 'back'. The Satellites are in the South-West about 40-45 degrees up (or so) (if you've ever positioned one on a tripod before.) So the Tailgater needs the same clear skies (40-45 degrees up and SW direction with handle facing Northward). On your receiver, be sure to always run the "check". Also, double check your connections, and always use the same coax cable. I switch cables (inside the camper, from the wall to the receiver) and it positioned the Tailgater OK, but the signal would not work. After I switched back to my original coax, it worked fine again.
