As long as you are keeping you anti-virus up to date and doing regular backups and being careful what sites you visit you should be good.
Now time for my plug. AMD has a new family of chips out, Ryzen. The family is not fully "fleshed out" so only the high end chips are shipping now. Hopefully before Christmas, the midrange desktop ones will be shipping and the laptop ones will be out next year.
Why do you care ? Because AMD is hitting Intel where it hurts ! PRICE !! If you are looking for "raw horsepower", stick with Intel, but the mid-range and laptop chips, which is where most of us "live", are going to be the "best bang for the buck" !
