I have the Note 10.1. Make sure you get the new model that is out (Note 10.1 2014) which uses a micro USB connector and not the Samsung specific 30 pin connector used by the original Note 10.1. I have the original and it is a great tablet. The handwriting recognition using the SPen is amazing and it immediately recognized my chicken scratch in both print and cursive and mixed. This is what sets this tablet apart. If you don't care about the handwriting feature then go with the Tab 3 which is a lot less money and is pretty much the same tablet.
I have no complaints with the Galaxy Note 10.1 at all. It functions well and does everything as expected. I am annoyed with Samsung for changing some of the features on this new model that make its accessories incompatible with the original Note 10.1 - and there is question now as to which model will they support with updates since they have been promising Android updates for the Note 10.1 since before the new model has come out. So go for the new model and not the original which is still being sold at about $100 less. Again, you can immediately see the difference by the connector in the bottom middle of the tablet - micro USB is the new model.
