No excuses, no backup, but would like to recover HD data

I do recommend SSD drives for laptops and keep an external USB drive for backup.

SSD gives a laptop new life because they are faster, more durable, and use less battery.

The only problem I see with SSD is when they go dead, there is no cheap way to recover it and the success rate of the recovery places hasn't been all that good either. Very important to keep backups.
