It really depends on how your rig is wired, but if you only have a single exterior coax input, the sat signal will more than likely run into a splitter and not reach your sat receiver. Best thing to do is practice setting up at home and figure out if it is possible to run satellite signal through exterior coax input or if you have to run it through the window as you have stated doing before. We use a Directv Slimline 5 HD dish (on a homemade stand) and HD receiver and with a minor modification to the splitter in our entertainment center, we can view cable or satellite from our single exterior coax input.
