Online Sales

We need new curtains for the front, windshield, of our motothome. Found them on the Camping World website yesterday, 1/14/2014. Placed the curtains, curtain hooks and few other items in the shopping cart. Went through the entire checkout process including payment info just to receive a message that curtains aren't available. Ordered the curtains from another supplier but ordered the hooks and other items from Camping World. Today received an email that the hooks won't be available until 2/13/2014 so called and canceled that order and ordered from the other supplier. The curtains still show as available on the Camping World website.

With computer controlled inventory you would think the website info would be up to date. Shouldn't have to go through the entire order process to find out something is not available or on backorder. Trying to support Camping World and this forum but they make it difficult.

BTW: Curtains ordered yesterday, standard shipping, UPS tracking show them out for delivery and I should receive them today. Cost was more than at Camping World but I guess Camping World can advertise any price they want if they don't actually have the product.

  • Update, another item ordered, quantity 3, only 1 shipped. No email indicating a partial ship and items on back order. Bouncing between CW and Dyers resulted in multiple shipping charges because we couldn't get everything we needed in one order.

    My wife called customer service and spoke to a very pleasant lady, Katherine. She went out of her way to make things right. Still something needs to be done regarding the website and actual inventory, bet there's an app for that.
  • Thanks Mark. Like myself many people here will try to support Camping World but if it becomes too frustrating they'll go elsewhere. Hope they can do a better job in the future.

  • :) Their techy that set up their system needs to do his/her work. No reason they can't show the product is sold out. :(
