To the posters, are your recommendations based on using them IN the RV using the batwing antenna?
Because my experience with "reception using the RV antenna" didn't prove to me that the high end ones worked better. In fact the ones I bought didn't.
These TV's are designed to work off cable. Which is what most people use them on. IMHO some brands must have incorporated a better reception board to utilize antenna's. Perhaps this board is more expensive to add and some simply use the lesser board that works well just off cable to keep their prices down?
I see a marked difference on which ones can actually use the reception from an RV antenna. I beat my head against the wall spinning the antenna around, moving the MH, etc. trying to get reception thinking it was where I was parked. Only to find out it was the TV itself.
