To the posters, are your recommendations based on using them IN the RV using the batwing antenna?

Both our Samsungs in the camper run off the batwing with no problems at all. The television in the living room also runs off Dish Satellite, same receiver we use in the house.
In the house, all of our televisions (Samsung) are running on Dish, and each one has an all directional (little square flat box) antenna for over-the-air stations. All our televisions work with absolutely no problems for both Satellite or over-the-air, batwing, or all directional antennas.
We bought my mother a Samsung a few years ago when her old television died. She runs it strictly on rabbit ears! Yea, the two long wires that stick up in the air about 5 feet! She gets fabulous reception and a multitude of channels!
My batwing on my TT pulls in more stations than the over-the-air (square) antennas in the house. In the trailer (driveway camp), we get about 60-65 different over-the-air stations, from all directions: Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, New Castle, Lafayette. It's simply awesome.
In the house we get less than half of that with the same televisions. I suppose those signals don't like all the electric wiring running through the house. And outside on the camper, the batwing is up in the air with nothing blocking it.
We live in the country (flat ground) surrounded by corn and bean fields. No obstructions. Great signals from all directions. No problems with over-the-air on Samsung.
