- dan-nickieExplorerAfter having a Smart TV for a while, I'll never buy another that isn't.
I think it's just the future for televisions and any model without it is a little behind the times.
One great thing about my Sharp Smart TV is that my Android phone will display our travel pictures on the TV wirelessly. And of course Netflix also.
Some of the other things I look for in a new TV are:
Thin frame around the screen.
Sufficient number of HDMI.
Optic Dolby sound output. - powderman426ExplorerOr for a couple hundred more there is the Sharp. I liked it best for picture but I don't like the remote. The vision remote with keyboard on the back seems better.
- DutchmenSportExplorerAll of our televisions, in the house and the camper are Samsung. Been very happy with them all. We have 3 in the house, and 2 in the camper.

According to Consumer Reports, they both rate the same in reliability.
Got a coin? Heads get the Samsung, tails get the Vizio. Have you thought about getting a "smart" TV?
The Vizio is a smart TV. It really doesn't matter to me. I have a Roku player and Apple TV. The Smart TV would be nice. I was just wondering maybe more things to go wrong. - amxpressExplorerThe Samsung has a high contrast ratio, but the Vizio has 4 HDMI plugs.

The last one I bought was a Vizio. It is still working and IT receives the most scannable channels than any of the other TV's I have bought.
I did find out they are not all created equal when it comes to reception and scanning channels. I had 2 TV's in the MH, parked in the same spot when I tested them and the Vizio got 14 more channels than the other one did. And the other TV kept freezing up with the channels it did manage to receive.
So for me my vote is the Vizio.
Too bad we can't test them with an antenna hook-up in the stores. I'm here to tell you that 4 or 5 of the brands would never be bought by an RV'er!
