Sorry but that's Baloney. I have a mifi unit that I use because CG wifi sucks. However, we spend 8 months of the year in our rig. My 5gb mifi plan does not allow me enough for the month. I WANT to be able to stream video, rather than pay $100+ per month for Satellite service on top of the $60 mifi bill.
The fact is that if a CG is located in an area where there is access to high speed broadband, the cost of THAT service is now quite reasonable! If the CG has a solid wireless setup in place, I don't understand why using a service such as Fiber or cable Internet is not economical? The costs of either is wayyyy below what a full T-1 used to be.

Campground WiFis are a dinosaur. That is way behind the tech curve. Most campers are using cell service for their Internet. We struggled for several years back when we were working to stay connected while camping. Didn't then have the cell option. Most campgrounds are not going to invest in the bandwidth or hardware to provide acceptable WiFi service to campers. Just wouldn't go there.
