Outstanding Customer Service

We always read about only the bad about Camping World on this forum. I am the first to complain so in all fairness. I also need to praise.

Yesterday we went to Camping World in Lake City, Fl. to purchase a new toilet. The parts lady was waiting on a customer buying a $1400.00 refrigerator. She greeted us and said as soon as she was done, she would help us. She invited us to browse in the store and she would find us when that time comes. (Smart move because we will probably see and buy some impulse items)
She held true to her promise, found us, and treated us as if we were also spending lots of money.

She even paid some attention to my mentally disabled sister in law, whom was with us. (It made her day!) Most people try to ignore her.

The toilet came in a sealed package and later, at home, we discovered it was not assembled, but in pieces. We returned it to the store. The parts gal apologized three or four times, sincerely. A replacement was promptly supplied and we returned home. We full time in our trailer and this is our only toilet. Not having one would mean trips in the middle of the night to the campground rest rooms. Not an easy task when disabled, as I am.

Bottom line, we were treated very warmly, efficiently, and with courtesy. In this day of poor customer service this store stands out. Good Job.

  • Always great to hear about positive customer service, since as you stated we are very vocal when things don't go the way we think they should but mum when all goes well.
