OTA tv is free and sometimes you get what you pay for - zip. It matters not that you just upgraded to the latest batwing, adding device, super duper control box. You can go from shineola to nothin in a blink of an eye. Ditto on the LED interference. Installed a LED in the patio light and when on some channels go away.
Sometimes all we can get is the shopping, non-english and religious channels - all crystal clear of course. Nothing is worse than "camping" and roughing it and not being able to get our favorite shows like Survivor, DWTS, Shark Tank, etc. :R
Thinking there's gotta be a better way, I installed a satellite setup in our TT last season only to find that too often things are in the way like hills/mountains, structures & trees, the weather is bad and/or there is fierce competition for the few sites in a CG that can get a sat signal. :M
There's always the internet if we can't get TV. But even with Verizon mifi 4G service (one of the best coverages around the US), there's times when we can't get a good enough signal for that (sigh). :(
Sure there's always a DVD but there's something about live TV that is more appealing. As a last resort we'll get a book out and listen to some music on the radio. Heck, if it's still light enough out in the evening, sometimes we'll go for a walk and find some fellow campers in the same boat to chat it up with. :)
