That is correct. Use the collar as the ground and touch the positive to the center conductor.

Correct. I went back to the winegard sensor sheet, to see whats included, and a spacer is not, nor is a spacer mentioned anywhere, nor is a box mentioned either. It says to mount it directly to the wall, which is nearly impossible because the plugs etc etc come w/in 1/8" of the mounting screws. Disappointing elcheepo coming from a normally reputable company. But at least they did make it fit a standard electrical box, so that's worth something I guess.

Just use the spacer opening as your template, cut that rectangle and screw the spacer to the wall. The Sensar Pro then screws to the spacer.

Nope, no backer plate, guess thats why I need the box ?
