Over the air digital tv signals
Why would you have 5 bars of reception on the tv then there is no picture and a message says no signal.....a second ago there was a beautiful photo....What causes that??

It is a multi-transmitter Shortwagve station with world wide coverage.. I tend to believe the wattage.. But it is possible that someone is pulling my leg.
That said. regarding the AFT bit in the Transmitted signals.. All my TV's allow me to overridge.. Results suck when I do but all 3, different brands, allow override.
