I use a Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300 sheet feeder scanner. It is very small, portable and will run off the AC adapter or you can power it from your laptop. I run a small consulting company on the side and it handles everything I can throw at it. Excellent colour and if you have a decent printer you will not be able to tell the difference between the original and scanned photos. One feature I really like is it will take a Pdf. document and turn it into a Word document. Highly recommend it.
