There was no monthly fee when I used OneSuite. I had it for at least ten years. Made a deposit, put a reminder on my calendar to check that there was money left in it once in a while, no troubles. It can be used automatically on your home phone and they give you a code, like one of the card codes, to use on other phones. I have not used it for a year because I moved and my new landline service includes long distance.
