Hookup to the trailer directly-nothing works. Hookup to the tv, after getting the signal, then going through trailer, partial success.
What is going on?
There must be a splitter in your trailer somewhere and the satellite system will not work properly if there is. If you do not have 2 separate dedicated lines outside, one that says Cable and another that says Satellite, you are likely trying to use or modify the Cable entry coax and that only works sometimes.
If that's what you are doing then I would run a new coax from some outside location that is convenient directly to where the receiver is located and this will resolve that issue.
