Hello,This year we are storing my 5th wheel in Myrtle Beach for the winter. It has a flat screen LED TV inside. My question is can I safely leave the TV in the RV over winter or do I need to bring it home and store it someplace warm?Thanks in advanceDave

We've left ours in the MH down to -20*F. Have a friend with a cabin in Talkeetna who leaves their TV installed all winter. The cabin in not heated. They go up probably every other weekend, crank up the wood stove and turn on the TV. It's been installed with no problems for three winters now. Talkeetna gets down to -30*F each winter.Bill

leave it ,unplug it . as long as you dont try to turn it on while its cold it wont be a problem

The only danger is of the two-legged variety liking the looks of said TV and borrowing it without asking.

They may not FREEZE but there is a permissible temperature storage range. Temperature storage limits

I would recommend always bringing electronics up to 40° for an hour before powering on. Condensation can kill electronics.

I never take my TV out of the MH, and it does get cold here. It has been fine for several years.

I live in NY and my tvs stay in the rig all winter. The only time that would ever be an issue is when its freezing cold and you powered it up. It could crack. However that wouldn't happen as I would rather sit on my couch in front of the wood stove than in a snowmobile suit in the camper to watch tv. I would be more concerned over theft.

What temperature swings??? You get a faster & larger temp swing when you come back to the MH and turn on the air conditioner............

I would imagine that leaving it there may not hurt it, but subjecting electronic equipment like an LCD TV to such temp swings can't be doing it any good either - may shorten it's lifespan.

Look at it this way, probably all of the TVs delivered to Pennsylvania during the winter, sitting a the cold frozen freight truck, have been frozen at least once for a couple of days. They still work just fine.
