What I never could figure out is why on my home dish I never see over 87% on 101 T1, (lower and higher on others) and on my LP Kingdome 1/2 dish at most, I get nearly the same signal. So why have a whole dish if a 1/2 dish is just as good.
Therefore, I was always going whittle on some scrap dishes, see how small I could make them and still get a "lockup" signal. I still carry an 18" dish for when the trees bother, or when it decides to rain for 3 days. But the last time I used it, my TV went blank, while I saw the dish blowing accros the parking lot. So smaller would be better. I always look for a scrapped out Dome, and just use the 1/2 dish out of it. I'll have to get back on that project some day :)
