I bought the app prior to traveling this past summer. I also bought a Ram mount setup to mount the IPAD on the dash within easy reach. You need to have the IPad plugged into a power source because the screen is on all the time. You can get a 12 volt plug with a USB input.
After about 8K miles of use, I am very satisfied. The large screen is great and makes it very easy to see everything. If I recall correctly, it did show upcoming lane changes on multi-lane highways.
Added benefit is quick and easy access to other apps (rv.net, IRV2, RVpark reviews, Harvest Hosts, Elks Club sites, Woodalls, etcetera) But be careful you don't use it while traveling down the road!
Bottom line...the best $99 I have spent in a long time.
