The antenna is actual a pretty good antenna. The mounting design is where I've had issues. The unit is way to short for the antenna to function properly as it;s often squished in an area that was designed for an antenna (usually replacing some crank up model) with a higher profile. There use to be a stand you could buy that elevated it off the roof. Word has it that people reported roof damage due to strong wind forces under the antenna when driving causing roof damage. I also suspect that some forgot to re-measure and the antenna on stand was not their highest point of their RV and we all know what can happen when you underestimate the height. I no longer see that mount sold by the manufacture.
