Try using google chrome, and stop ussing internet explorer. 100 percent difference
I spent most of the day yesterday trying to get a laptop that we don't use much and could hardly use yesterday.
Older laptop but came with win7 and 2GB processor. Task manger showed most the time at CPU at 98-100% and using only task manager at the time.
Yes, I know about start up times, defrag, antivirus, malware, etc.
Tried everything.
Tried changing hompepage on IE, couldn't change it.
Don't know how it happened, but Chrome was running in background, deleted it and CPU dropped to 25-50%, still too high but ran fine.
Since Win7 and AVG on home pc, I've have no problems with IE.
