Reauthorize DirecTV Receiver?
Why does DirecTV unauthorized a receiver, only to let you reauthorize it? I had to reauthorize my DirecTV in the trailer

This happened to my older DIRECTV SAT RCVRsjust about every time I unplugged them or lost power. Just call the 800 number and have your acct number handy... Sometimes they ask for the CARD number so have that handy as well.
They also can be reset on the DIRECTV web page...
I placed an info page on each SAT RCVR I was taking with me on camping trips.
One trip we stopped at was out of range of cell phone service so we had to drive to a place where the cell phone worked. When we got back to the camp site the SAT RCVR was working fine haha...
ALOT of folks thinks they are doing something illegal by moving their SAT RCVR around. We always told them what we were doing and never had an issue with that... The only thing that ever happened to us was we would lose our local TV service whenever we got out of our home ZIP CODE area.
We would use the local BROADCAST NETWORK then to pick up the local HDTV NATIONAL BROADCAST from the local towns using the OTA BATWING antenna...
We eventually just stopped bringing along the SAT TV items from home as most we wanted to watch was the NCIS local TV shows anyway etc... This was all in high def mode already coming from the local towns and too much work setting up the SAT TV items... Was always afraid someone was going to run off with the SAT DISH as well when we left it unattended.
